Three years ago, my husband bought me a FitBit for my 30th birthday. We had just completed two half marathons and then I got pregnant. I think I used my FitBit for a few months before giving up to the tiredness that is pregnancy. Then about six months after I had my first son, the FitBit challenges were created and I got hooked again. This was good timing because I needed to stop being inactive after having my son.
Back in college, I would call my dad and tell him I needed more diabetes supplies. I would never keep good tabs on my supplies and it would always be a call of urgency. I would have maybe one infusion set left or I’d be almost out of test strips. I’m sure my dad loved having to rush order my supplies to me at college. It’s been over 10 years now since I graduated college and I no longer have that problem. In fact, I have the opposite; I have a huge stockpile.
