It’s November so that means it’s Diabetes Awareness Month!! Wait a minute-we are 11 days into November?! Where has the time gone? Well I’ve been a little busy the last few weeks. What’s been going on? Well I’ve taken my son to the pumpkin patch and an apple orchard; we’ve taken professional family photos; we’ve gone to the zoo; we’ve celebrated Halloween and we celebrated my son’s FIRST birthday! It’s been quite a busy time! The Richmond One Walk for JDRF was rescheduled from September to November 1st so we went to that to kick off Diabetes Awareness Month. I raised almost $500 so I got a t-shirt and this year they had special blue shirts for people with diabetes (so now I’m all ready for Blue Fridays!).
What else has been going on? Well, I celebrated the THIRD anniversary of my blog on October 30th! I still can’t believe I have been blogging that long. I’ve made so many connections over the last three years and I’ve gained so much support and had such a good outlet to share my feelings, it’s been a wonderful three years with the Diabetes Online Community!
Since it’s been such a busy, fun few weeks, I thought I’d share some of my favorite photos:
Since I’ve been a little busy lately, I’m not too up on all that is happening for Diabetes Awareness Month, but Stephen at Happy-Medium has a blog post sharing some good info and JDRF has some good stuff for Diabetes Awareness Month so check those out!
