Four Things Game

Posted on

I’ve been out of the diabetes blog loop recently because work has been really busy and so has my son (who is 4 months old now!!) but I have seen a few blogs (Karen’s, Stephen’s, Kerri’s, etc) circulating around doing this thing call Four Things.  Since I can answer the questions pretty easily, I thought I would play along, especially since it’s #dblogcheck day!:

Four names people call me other than my real name.

  1. Kel
  2. Kelbel
  3. Kelley Marie (my mom calls me this, but Marie isn’t my middle name :-P)
  4. Ma Ma (one day soon hopefully!)

Four jobs I’ve had.

  1. Waitress (in high school)
  2. Manager in training at a lumberyard (I had a fork life license and everything!)
  3. Accountant for a non-profit
  4. Director of Operations (current job)

Four movies I’ve watched more than once (I’ve watched a lot of movies more than once..)

  1. Pride and Prejudice (the A&E version-love Colin Firth! Probably seen this about 200+ times)
  2. White Christmas
  3. Jane Eyre (the version with Ruth Wilson)
  4. She’s the Man (I love Channing Tatum and good to see Amanda Bynes back in her day)

Four books I would recommend (this was hard because I have a lot of favorites!)

  1. Hunger Games series (I really enjoyed this series)
  2. Little Women (old favorite)
  3. A House in the Sky by Amanda Lindhout (Book club book)
  4. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom (little one’s favorite)

Four places I’ve lived

  1. Richmond, VA
  2. Blacksburg, VA
  3. Alexandria, VA
  4. Arlington, VA

Four places I’ve visited

  1. St Petersburg, Russia
  2. Buenos Aires, Argentina
  3. Reykjavik, Iceland
  4. Cannes, France

Four things I prefer not to eat

  1. Anything lemon flavored
  2. Chunky peanut butter
  3. Fish eggs
  4. Anything banana flavored or with bananas in it (although I don’t mind bananas themselves)

Four of my favorite foods

  1. Cupcakes
  2. Powdered Donuts
  3. Sushi
  4. Chicken pot pie (new fav after a neighbor cooked it for me post baby delivery)

Four TV shows I watch (I watch a lot of tv shows so I could list way more than 4)

  1. Modern Family
  2. House of Cards (just finished binge watching the new season)
  3. Better Call Saul (good show so far!)
  4. Grey’s Anatomy (oldie but a goodie still)

Four things I’m looking forward to this year

  1. When my little one sits up unassisted
  2. When my little one says my name
  3. When my little one crawls
  4. First year in a LONG time that I don’t have any trips planned so hopefully we will get to take a day or two vacation at some point.

Four things I’m always saying

  1. Scarlett, shhhh! (when my dog barks)
  2. I love you 🙂
  3. Hi! (to my little one)

  1. Great list and nice to see you! I bet that I’ve seen White Christmas twenty times. I’m not sure that I can have you over for lunch because I love chunky peanut butter and hate sushi. But chicken pot pie, that I really like:-)

  2. I was going to do this but I get stuck because I do not watch TV (ain’t nobody got time for dat!) and the only movies I’ve watched multiple times are those that my kids watched at home multiple times, so it was not by choice (yeah, I’m a bit of a freak of nature, I don’t really like or watch movies). Oh well…

    • Oh my gosh! With three dogs, craziness would ensue! haha. My dog, Scarlett, is actually getting better about barking! I think she is learning she gets a lot more love when she’s not letting me know the UPS guy is here 😛
