24 weeks

I found this “survey” from Meredith’s blog With a Side of Insulin and I thought it was cute so I wanted to give it a try.

How far along? 24 weeks

Maternity clothes?  Sort of, I’m wearing dresses and some pants from when I was 30 pounds heavier (about 2.5 years ago) and some maternity clothes.  My pants are quickly becoming too tight so I’m going to have to start shopping some more.  I am wearing pregnancy bathing suits but the dresses are keeping me going while my pants tighten.

Stretch marks? Not yet, but my belly is quickly expanding.

Sleep: Hit or miss.  Most nights I wake up at least once to pee or for my blood sugar, but otherwise it’s mainly tossing and turning to get comfortable with my belly.

Best moment this week: Seeing my little buddy again on the ultrasound.

Miss anything? I still miss my wine and sushi.  I think my first date night after giving birth will be to a restaurant that serves ceviche, yumm!

Movement: Tons! I have a very active fella in there.

Food cravings: The other night I was craving everything badly!  I wanted french fries and pizza and cupcakes!  I had to settle for a bowl of chili and garlic bread-didn’t quite hit the spot.

Anything making you queasy or sick: No thankfully.  I got over my weird food aversions so I haven’t really had any issues with food other than I can’t eat big meals-makes me too full and uncomfortable.

Gender: Boy!

Labor signs: Not yet

Symptoms: Nothing really to note other than some food cravings.

Belly button in or out? It’s trying hard to come out…it’s about halfway there!

Wedding rings on or off? Still on!

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy except when my CGM sensor decides to not work right.

Blood sugar: It’s been good for the most part!  I think my insulin resistance is starting to kick in though.  This morning I woke up and it was 143.  I had to wait longer than normal to eat breakfast.
Can’t wait for the next 15-16 weeks to pass 🙂

  1. I am enjoying following all of the pregnancy blogs: you, Meredith, Liz, and the dancing girl blog (Jen, I think! See Jen Dance) I am so happy for all of you! (There are probably more and I apologize for forgetting anyone.)

My youngest son is 32 years old (oldest is 35) and I can still see, feel, smell the hunter green jumper that I wore through both pregnancies. There was also a brown plaid maternity blouse.

Is there a such thing as a virtual Godmother? if so, sign me up! No child can have too much love.
