Diabetes Blog Week – Saturday Snapshots

Posted on

Today’s Diabetes Blog Week topic is Saturday Snapshots.  I’m excited to see everyone’s photos!

Back for another year, let’s show everyone what life with diabetes looks like!  With a nod to the Diabetes 365 project, let’s grab our cameras again and share some more d-related pictures.  Post as many or as few as you’d like.  Feel free to blog your thoughts on or explanations of your pictures, or leave out the written words and let the pictures speak for themselves.

So I’m actually a day late posting but yesterday was a beautiful day and I was really busy so I didn’t get a chance to post, so today will be a two-post day :).

Most of the time this is what diabetes looks like to me:

Sometimes its educating others, yes I can have these:

Sometimes it’s celebrating the successes that comes with the failures:

Sometimes diabetes provides a great excuse:

Sometimes diabetes can cause some disruptions:

But overall, I don’t let diabetes stop me from living my life:

Diabetes is a huge part of my life but it doesn’t define me.  I’ve met some great people thanks to diabetes; I’ve gotten into running thanks to diabetes; I’ve had perfect excuses to eat junk.  Despite all the annoyances and frustrations that come with diabetes, I’ve still led a “normal” life.
